These bones will be marked because of their radioactivity. Out of the ashes of this war:
1) America and Russia will be judged as a warning to the rest of the world: America for her apostasy -- Russia for her atheism.
2) The worldwide Laodicean church will be spewed out of Christ's mouth and judged: for judgment begins at the house of God. The overcomers will be taken (Raptured) while those disobedient and not watching will be caught unaware and be left behind to be saved "so as by fire" for Jesus returns as a thief -- and a thief only steals what is precious, not what is common.
3) The Anti-Christ will seize power in the vacuum created by this nuclear catastrophe. Israel, left defenseless, will run into his arms like a baby lamb to a wolf in sheep's clothing.
4) Financial institutions worldwide will collapse -- currencies will tumble in value, and chaos will demand a totalitarian Mark of the beast system.
5) Famine, disease, pestilence, and lawlessness will abound as ecosystems collapse.
No- I cannot believe the Ezekiel war (chaps. 38-39) is Armageddon, for Armageddon occurs in the valley of Meggido, while W.W. III will occur in the mountains of Israel and in the valley, to be named Hamon Gog. God would not designate two different places in scripture unless it was two different battles.
Another moot point is: I can see no reason for Israel to bury the dead for seven months and burn weapons of war for seven years if a mid or post tribulation view is espoused.
II Peter (3, vs. 10-11) says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with a fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up -- Seeing then that all these things shall be burned up what matter of people ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness." No! I cannot believe that Jesus Christ -- Who spoke the universe into existence, Who commanded the wind and the waves, Who raised the dead, Who healed even the most terrible disease instantaneously, Who holds everything together by His Word -- will need to send out burial crews for the first seven months of the Millennium, or worse still, will need to have Israel burn weapons of war for fuel for the first seven years of God's thousand year day. No! it's preposterous!!!
During the Millenium the Bible says the lion will lie down next to the lamb; (without fear) children will play over the holes of poisonous snakes -- for the knowledge of the Lord will fill the whole world. Hallelujah!
But before this blessed day arrives this earth will experience devastatingly severe birth pangs: we can see the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse poised, awaiting the moment that voice in heaven will cry, "Come!!"
First, on a White Horse a rider clutching a bow with no arrow: this is the Anti-Christ arriving as a hero -- masquerading as a savior -- conquering in the beginning through diplomacy (Daniel chap. 7). I believe his identity will be revealed to those walking closest to Christ before the Rapture, pictured by John the Apostle leaning close to Jesus asking the betrayers identity.
